Wayland High School Theater Ensemble

Winter One Act Play - To Parents and Other Neighbors.

Based on true events in 1954 Wayland, this original play, created and devised by the cast, follows a community rocked by the discovery that a beloved second-grade teacher was once a member of the Communist Party. As fear and suspicion spread during the height of the Red Scare, neighbors must decide whether loyalty, conscience, or politics will guide their judgment.

Everything You Want To Know About Power School and Parent Square

What is PowerSchool?
It’s the new “Student Information System” for the Wayland Public Schools. It replaces Home Access Center (HAC).

What can I view in PowerSchool?
  • Class schedules
  • Grades
  • Attendance
  • Class assignments, due date and missing assignments
  • Report cards (Only the High School can view historical grades.)
  • Teachers names and email addresses

How do I access it?
Once you have an account set up, you can login via the web interface or the mobile app.

How do I set up an account?
Around August 15th, the primary account holder for your student (listed as “mother) should have received an email from WAYLAND PUBLIC SCHOOLS. The subject line said “PowerSchool Account Change.”

Where do I login on the web:

What do I do if I can’t find this email or I have trouble logging in?
It may be that the information the school has in the system is incorrect. You can submit a support ticket using the Google Form at: https://forms.gle/592Fqm8e1kePE7Pb8

I’m not sure if I signed up for ParentSquare. Have I missed important information?
No, the school still sends all communication by email.

How do I sign up?
You should have received an email from the district inviting you to sign up. Regardless, you can go to parentsquare.com and register for an account with your email address.

No.
